Moisture-Wicking Face Mask That Works With Headphones
The Ogie Mask uses a moisture-wicking stretch fabric that keeps sweat off your face during high-output activity — running, cycling, mountain biking — while the open-ear design keeps your headphones exactly where they should be.
High-output activity produces sweat, and sweat under a face mask is a fast way to end up with a soggy uncomfortable mess. The right fabric wicks moisture away from the skin, spreads it out for evaporation, and stays comfortable through multiple hours. Combine that with an open-ear design and you get a mask that works for actual training, not just gentle strolls.
Is Ogie machine washable?
Yes. Cold wash, tumble dry low. The stretch fabric retains its shape across 100+ wash cycles. Wash after every hard training session to keep it fresh.
Will sweat damage bone-conduction headphones?
Shokz and most bone-conduction headphones are rated IP55 or better, so sweat is fine. Ogie's wicking fabric keeps sweat off the mask-to-cheekbone interface anyway, which improves comfort for both.
Does the fabric smell after heavy use?
Cold wash + air dry keeps it neutral. If odour builds up (rare), a vinegar-water soak resets the fabric to fresh.
What about heavy sweating in the gym?
Lightweight is the pick u2014 the mesh mouth panel on V2 helps even more. Ogie handles CrossFit / spin classes / hard treadmill sessions with the same comfort as a training top.
Can I use it under a face shield or safety helmet?
Yes. Common in industrial, construction and welding contexts u2014 the moisture-wicking fabric handles heavy sweating under PPE.
How long does a mask typically last?
With regular washing and normal use, 2-3 years of active use is typical. The fabric retains stretch and doesn't pill.
